Θέμα: Κρέμασμα Κυνηγετικών Σκυ λιών στην Κω

Παρακάτω θα βρείτε το email που έλαβε το Ελληνικό Ταμείο Μέριμνας, Ζώων, Σωματείο από το 1959, από κάτοικο της περιοχής. Όλα τα φιλοζωικά σωματεία σε όλη την επικράτεια, βρίσκουν συνεχώς κακοποιημένα και εγκατελειμένα κυνηγόσκυλα, δεμένα, σκελετωμένα,τραυματισμένα,άρρωστα και κλεισμένα σε κουτιά για να πεθάνουν από ασιτία και πείνα (φωτό starved hunting-dog, ευρέθηκε το πτώμα στην Αττική).
Τι σκοπεύετε να κάνετε για να βελτιωθεί η νοοτροπία των κυνηγών απέναντι στα σκυλιά τους? Η δικαιολογία ότι είναι πολύ λίγοι οι κυνηγοί που κακοποιούν τα σκυλιά δεν ισχύει διότι ένας τεράστιος αριθμός αδεσποτων και κακοποιημένων ζώων είναι κυνηγόσκυλα. Ένα ποσοστό που πλησιάζει το 100 % των κρεμασμένων σκυλιών επίσης είναι κυνηγόσκυλα.
Παρακαλώ όπως προβείτε σε ενέργειες αποκάλυψης αυτών που κρεμούν τα σκυλιά στο νησί της Κω και δραστηριοποιηθείτε και στον τομέα ενημέρωσης των κυνηγών σχετικά με τις υποχρεώσεις τους ως ιδιοκτήτες ζώων.

Subject: Advice on atrocity
Dear all at GAWF,
On the 26th of February I was out walking with my dogs when I stumbled across the scene of horror shown in the attached jpegs.
All the dogs are breeds used commonly for hunting, the corpses where at different levels of decomposition suggesting that this had been going on for some time. Also the many knots of rope on several branches of the tree would suggest that this is a favored execution spot. I can only assume that the dogs weren’t good at hunting and for this reason there lives were cruelly ended.
There are two men who have dogs nearby which they breed and then partially train for hunting, to sell for profit. My suspicions fall on them but as there is no direct evidence there is little that can be done. I have reported everything to the police who have filed a report; I have also given the story to the local newspaper.
I would like to know if you have any suggestions for further action that I can take.
